Another figure post =D . Okay, this is one of my earlier acquired figures and its rather old too being first released all the way back in 2005.

This figure by Kotobukiya is Saber(セイバー), from the visual novel Fate/Stay Night(フェイト/ステイナイト) which has a popular anime adaptation. She is produced to a 1/8 scale here.

<p style="text-align: center;">Another figure post =D . Okay, this is one of my earlier acquired figures and its rather old too being first released all the way back in 2005.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;"><span id="more-211"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This figure by Kotobukiya is Saber(<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span class="t_nihongo_kanji"><span lang="ja" xml:lang="ja">セイバー)</span></span><span class="t_nihongo_comma" style="display: none;">,</span></span> from the visual novel Fate/Stay Night(<span lang="ja" xml:lang="ja">フェイト/ステイナイト)</span> which has a popular anime adaptation. She is produced to a 1/8 scale here.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2051/2499879536_26920cbdfb.jpg" alt="Saber 1" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I remember getting this from eBay since its was already out of production at that time and not many shops carry stock anymore.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-213" src="http://wakuwakusuru.zeroclipse.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/saber-box-500x750.jpg" alt="saber-box" width="500" height="750" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Here is the box of the figure itself. There was a time when figure boxes used to be really SMALL compared to the ones released now. Nowadays, they seem to keep getting bigger and bigger. At least for the ones that I'm getting ^^;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2362/2499054021_a40dc4d230.jpg" alt="Saber 2" width="375" height="500" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">She comes with a blue coloured base which is not shown here.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">(Note: The pictures here have some lighting issues since I took them quite some time ago.)</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2038/2499887360_7f7ded2c52.jpg" alt="Saber 9" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Quality is around average I must say. This is among Kotobukiya's earlier figures and some find that their older figures have the skin colour painted in a glossy tone. The quality of their newer released figures are better.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2044/2499888190_4f5a8705eb.jpg" alt="Saber 10" width="375" height="500" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The one that I received did not come with any paint defects or bad paint jobs. The sword is rather detailed as you see here.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3032/2547876675_b4028d38ee.jpg" alt="Saber 8" width="375" height="500" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I must say that you can't really complain about the quality of the figure since its price is reasonable comapared to figures nowadays. It had a retail price of 3480 yen when it was launched and not many figures nowadays are sold at that price anymore. Then again, the low price does not mean that this is one figure with crappy quality ^^;</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">This is my first figure post and I will try to keep it short. I will provide a breif review of this Octavia figure produced by Kotobukiya. The scale of this figure is 1/8 which is the typical size of most figures.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;"><span id="more-68"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">For your information, Octavia (<span style="font-weight: normal;"><span class="t_nihongo_kanji"><span lang="ja" xml:lang="ja">オクタヴィア)</span></span></span> is from the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tears_to_tiara" target="_blank">Tears to Tiara</a> series which is based of a PS3 game which was originally from a PC game. And oh, there's an anime adaptation of this series too. Haven't been catching up to the latest episodes.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Here are some shots</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><div class="img flickr-original aligncenter" style="width:500px;">
	<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3556/3378910520_7e98b85364.jpg" alt="Octavia Closeup" width="500" height="333" />
	<div>Closeup</div>
</div>
<p style="text-align: center;">As you can see, the figure is detailed in the hair and outfit areas.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3577/3378092209_719c5aa477.jpg" alt="Octavia Closeup" width="500" height="333" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Her gloves and elbow guard is detailed as well. You can see this from the paint job of the guard which has a nice gradient to it which adds detail.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3439/3378092413_a4abb44187.jpg" alt="Octavia" width="333" height="500" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">As you see here, she comes with a white coloured base unlike the brown wooden one in the prototype model.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class=" aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3427/3378092963_d7423ef9e8.jpg" alt="Octavia" width="500" height="333" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class=" aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3423/3378093445_ce1384f029.jpg" alt="Octavia's Accesories" width="500" height="333" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Her accesories are detailed too though you can't remove it or anything like that ^^;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><div class="img aligncenter" style="width:500px;">
	<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3658/3378911438_47a063d446.jpg" alt="Octavia Closeup" width="500" height="333" />
	<div>Another closeup</div>
</div>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class=" aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3419/3378093805_0fbe61654a.jpg" alt="Octavia Weilding Sword" width="500" height="333" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Here she is with her sword which is removable. Sword looks nice here too.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><div class="img aligncenter" style="width:333px;">
	<img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3631/3378912294_ec279851e5.jpg" alt="Octavia Weilding Sword" width="333" height="500" />
	<div>Another shot.</div>
</div>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class=" aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3428/3378094093_abf3c12eb0.jpg" alt="Octavia Weilding Sword " width="500" height="333" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">This figure looks really close to the one depicted in the prototype model. I can say that Kotobukiya did a good job in producing this figure and keeping the quailty up to standard.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">My Octavia didn't come with  any factory defects =) . Not that I notice any though. The packaging is good too and the box looks nice but I dont't have a picture of it at the moment ^^;</p>
